Kashif Khan, PhD has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Kashif is currently the Co-founder and CEO of PLAKK, a company that aims to revolutionize the characterization of atherosclerotic plaques using artificial intelligence and deep learning. Prior to this, they worked at McGill University as a Student Skills Assistant, where they developed and facilitated workshops on inclusive spaces, anti-oppression, anti-racism, research communication, and leadership for undergraduate and graduate students. Before that, they co-founded Cardiolink in 2016. Kashif also gained experience as a Floor Fellow/Residence Don at York University in the Residence Life department. Overall, Kashif has demonstrated expertise in research, leadership, and innovation throughout their career.

Kashif Khan, PhD, has a diverse education history. Kashif obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology, Kinesiology, and Health Sciences from York University, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. During this time, they also pursued non-degree studies in Human Biology at the University of Toronto from 2014 to 2015.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Kashif pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Experimental Surgery at McGill University, starting in 2016 and graduating in 2021.

In addition to their academic degrees, Kashif also holds additional certifications. In 2016, they obtained the SAFETalk certification from the Ontario Association for Suicide Prevention. In 2019, they received a certification in Scientific Entrepreneurship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec.
