Christopher Armstrong has extensive experience in international health programs, currently serving as the Director of Health for International Programs at Plan Canada since December 2015. Previously, Christopher held the position of Deputy Director for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health at Global Affairs Canada from January to October 2015, focusing on health policy and programming. Christopher's experience includes roles as HIV Technical Adviser at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Health Team Lead for Tanzania at the Canadian International Development Agency. As Team Leader for HIV Policy at the Canadian International Development Agency from 2005 to 2008, along with serving as Senior Health Advisor for Human Rights and Gender Equality at Global Affairs Canada, Christopher's background in public health is supported by an MPH from Yale University and a BSc in Physiology from McGill University.
