Sofia Varela

Sofia Varela is a dedicated professional in the field of education, particularly focusing on robotics and psychopedagogy. Currently serving as a Formadora en Robótica at Ceibal, Sofia has also managed a national Computational Thinking project for 7th-grade students. As Partner Director at Young Engineers Montevideo, Sofia promotes STEM education through hands-on activities involving Legos and motors. In addition, Sofia conducts robotics workshops at Instituto Crandon and contributes to Spanish translations and curriculum design for the mathematical content at Blue Duck Education. With experience in psychopedagogical evaluations and treatments at Pindo and the Interdisciplinary Center of Neuropsychological Attention, Sofia has a strong background in supporting students' learning through technology. Holding a postgraduate degree in TICs and Education from Flacso México and a Bachelor of Psychopedagogy from Instituto Universitario CEDIIAP, Sofia continues to enhance educational approaches in various roles across multiple institutions.
