Ethan Lalonde

Ethan Lalonde has an extensive work experience in the field of mechanical design and project coordination. Ethan started their career at Modern Niagara in 2010 as a Junior Drafter, where they gained experience in annotation and modeling of ventilation systems. Ethan then progressed to the role of Senior 3D BIM Designer, where they took on teaching and leadership roles and provided quality control for the work of new hires. At DMC Mechanical, a subsidiary of Modern Niagara, they continued in the same role until 2016, when they moved back to Modern Niagara as a Senior 3D BIM Designer and Virtual Coordinator. In this position, Ethan expanded their knowledge in multiple disciplines and also took on the role of Lead Sheet Metal Designer on projects. Ethan hosted seminars and drafted a reference guide on designing ventilation systems. Currently, Ethan is working at Plan Group Inc. as a Senior Mechanical Designer and Project Team Lead. Ethan trains and oversees junior drafters, advises the intermediate/senior drafting team, and continues to lead Sheet Metal design on active projects. Ethan is also leading a team to design a standard Sheet Metal Drafting guide.

Ethan Lalonde attended the University of Waterloo from 2008 to 2010, where they pursued Honours Psychology as their field of study. Ethan did not obtain a degree during this time. In terms of additional certifications, Ethan obtained a Procore Certified: Project Manager (Core Tools) certification from Procore Technologies in April 2022.
