Paul O'Brien

Paul O'Brien is an experienced leader in the non-governmental and development sectors, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Plan International Ireland since November 2016. Previously, Paul played a significant role as a Board Member of Dóchas, contributing to collaboration among Irish development organizations from 2016 to 2022. Over a 15-year tenure at Concern Worldwide, Paul held various senior positions including Director of Strategic Partnerships & New Business Development and Overseas Director, overseeing program activities across approximately 30 countries. Paul's leadership experience extends to the International Council of Voluntary Agencies, where Paul served as Chair of the Board and participated in humanitarian response initiatives. Paul also holds a Master of Business Administration from University College Dublin.
