Malek Tabbara is an experienced professional in AI enablement and data governance, currently serving as the AI Enablement & Data Governance Lead at Plan International since November 2025. With a strong foundation in data quality, stewardship, and privacy, Malek previously held the position of Data Governance and Quality Lead at Plan International Canada, where strategic initiatives included the creation of a data governance hub and a data literacy program. Malek's experience includes significant roles at Air Canada, first as a Data Steward & Lead Data Quality Management Advisor and then as an Infrastructure Project Manager, where focus was given to data quality during major migrations. Additional roles include Quality Assurance Manager at INTUDIO, Senior Infrastructure Project Manager at SQALABLE, and Senior Advisor - Infra/Ops at National Bank of Canada. Malek’s academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from McGill University.
