Michael Fourneau has a diverse work experience in the agricultural industry. MICHAEL began their career at MAS Seeds in 2000 as the molecular marker laboratory manager and marker assisted project leader. In this role, they developed biomolecular analysis protocols for marker-assisted selection and managed the laboratory organization and budget.

In 2012, Fourneau took on the role of Breeding Crop Manager at MAS Seeds, where they were a member of the Executive Board for Research and Development Maïsadour Seeds. MICHAEL was responsible for validating strategic research plans, coordinating business R&D interfaces, and overseeing budget and investment plans. MICHAEL also integrated a Quality Management System (QMS) approach into the service.

In 2017, Fourneau joined Union Française des Semenciers as the Vice President Conseil de section Oleagineux. MICHAEL held this position until 2022.

In 2022, Fourneau joined PLANASA as the R&D Corporate Director and Breeding Corporative Director.

Michael Fournau attended the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a DESS in Protection et valorisation du végétal.
