David Thompson P.eng.

David Thompson P.Eng. PMP has extensive work experience in various engineering and project management roles. David currently serves as the Director of Business Development - North America at PlanET Biogas Solutions Inc. Prior to that, they worked at Walker Industries as a Project Manager, focusing on Integrated Gas Recovery Services (IGRS) and renewable energy projects. At Whiting Equipment Canada Inc., they worked as a Process Engineer and Project Manager, designing and managing various process/manufacturing projects. David also gained experience as a Process Designer in a co-op position at Imperial Oil and as a Production Supervisor in a co-op position at General Motors. Additionally, they have worked as a Research Assistant in a co-op position at Woodbridge and in the R+D Continuous Improvement Division at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Overall, David Thompson P.Eng. PMP has a strong background in engineering, project management, and renewable energy projects.

David Thompson P.Eng. PMP obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. David also holds additional certifications including a P.Eng - Professional Engineer certification from Professional Engineers Ontario in 2012, and a PMP - Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in 2013. In 2014, they obtained a Certificate in Project Management and a Certificate in Advanced Project Management from the University of Waterloo. David further enhanced their skills by completing the "Participant, Negotiation Skills: Strategies for Increased Effectiveness" course at the Harvard Extension School in 2019.
