Christopher Simmons

Christopher Simmons is an accomplished professional in Human Factors and Usability Engineering, currently serving as the Human Factors & Usability Engineering Lead at Planet Innovation since January 2021. In this role, Christopher directs strategies to enhance medical device user interfaces, ensuring safe and effective usage across projects involving various medical devices. Prior to this, experience included significant leadership positions at Arup as a Senior Human Factors Engineer, overseeing human factors and usability across multiple large-scale projects in Australasia, and at Pfizer as a Senior Human Factors Engineer managing HF activities in the development of at-home injection devices. Christopher's extensive background also encompasses consulting roles in ergonomics and safety across diverse industries, with a strong educational foundation in industrial design and ergonomics from Monash University and La Trobe University.
