Carla Steenkamp

Carla Steenkamp is an experienced hospitality professional currently serving as the Executive Assistant Manager at Planhotel Hospitality Group, overseeing a boutique resort in the Maldives since December 2021. Prior to this role, Carla held the position of Assistant General Manager at Camp Figree Lodge in South Africa for nearly six years. With a background in interior design, Carla worked as a Freelance Designer and Project Manager, emphasizing kitchen and bedroom design. Early career experiences include roles as a Project Intern at Heritage Cupboards and Junior Stewardess on luxury yachts, as well as various guest service positions in the hospitality industry. Carla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Value and Policy Studies from Stellenbosch University and completed coursework at the Red & Yellow Creative School of Business.
