Anitra Beasley, MD, MPH, has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Anitra began their career in 2004 at Baylor College of Medicine as a Resident Physician and continued until 2008. In 2008, they joined Columbia University Irving Medical Center as a Clinical Instructor until 2010. From 2010 onwards, they have been associated with Baylor College of Medicine, where they initially worked as an Assistant Professor and later became an Associate Professor. Most recently, they hold the position of Assistant Dean of Academic and Faculty Affairs at Ben Taub Hospital within Baylor College of Medicine. In 2018, they also served as the Associate Medical Director at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.

Anitra Beasley, MD, MPH completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology, General at Rice University from 1996 to 2000. Anitra then pursued their medical degree, Doctor of Medicine (MD), at Baylor College of Medicine from 2000 to 2004. Seeking further specialization in the field of public health, they obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health between 2008 and 2010.
