Laura Proulx

Laura Proulx is a dedicated health educator currently working at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast since July 2022. With prior experience as a site coordinator and program advisor at Big Buddy in Baton Rouge, Laura played a pivotal role in advocating for comprehensive sex education and addressing the shortcomings of abstinence-only programs. Laura has engaged in various capacities with the Feminist Majority Foundation, including serving as a Louisiana Ambassador for My LA Sex Ed and leading digital organizing initiatives. An alumnus of Louisiana State University, where Laura earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, involvement in advocacy campaigns such as the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment and student outreach further underscores Laura's commitment to social justice and education.
