Ællen Freytag

Associate Director Digital Innovations Production at Planned Parenthood

Ællen Freytag's work experience begins in 2004 as a freelance graphic designer specializing in print design for non-profit organizations and small businesses. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as an Elfa Sales Trainer at The Container Store, leading training courses and serving as the lead salesperson for the company's core product.

In 2007, Freytag joined Watershed Company as a Production Manager, where they implemented online fundraising and advocacy campaigns for various non-profit organizations. Ællen designed and coded HTML for email and donation forms and developed campaign strategy briefs and training materials.

From 2011 to 2020, Freytag worked as an Online Marketing Consultant at TGIFreytag, providing marketing services to clients.

In 2016, they transitioned to Planned Parenthood Federation of America as the Manager of Testing & Optimization, responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing A/B tests across digital assets. Ællen also launched email and text campaigns and performed data tasks.

In 2019, Freytag took on the role of Front-End Developer and Production Manager at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, managing production requests and projects.

Currently, Freytag holds the position of Associate Director, Digital Innovations Production at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where they lead production and builds digital assets for the Innovations team, including A/B tests, advertising forms, and integrated campaign elements.

Ællen Freytag's education history begins with their attendance at The Galloway School from 1990 to 1996. They then went on to study at Northgate High School from 1996 to 2000. Following their high school education, Ællen pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on English and Creative Writing Emphasis in Poetry at Stanford University, where they attended from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, Ællen obtained a certification in JavaScript Circuit from General Assembly in November 2019.
