Haley Schwalm

Haley Schwalm has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Haley began their career in 2012 as a Seasonal Sales Associate at All Stars Ice Cream Shop. In 2014, they interned as a Community Outreach Coordinator at Duke and Winston. Later that year, they also worked as a Seasonal Machinery Operator at TE Connectivity.

In 2016, Haley interned as an Operations & Compliance Intern at NSM Insurance Group, followed by an Underwriting Internship at Global Indemnity Group in 2017. Haley then worked as a Student Worker in the College of Engineering at Temple University from 2017 to 2018 and as a Senior Office Assistant and Editor in the Department of Computer and Information Science from 2015 to 2018.

From 2018 to 2019, Haley was a Claims Trainee and later a Claims Specialist at Zurich North America, where they analyzed policies, investigated claims, and negotiated settlements.

Haley's next role was as a Legal Intern at Kings County Family Court from 2022 to 2022. During this time, they observed court proceedings, conducted legal research, and prepared memoranda and draft decisions.

In 2022, they worked as a Teaching Assistant for both Civil Procedure and Torts at New York Law School, providing class materials, hosting review sessions, and assisting professors with various tasks.

Currently, Haley is working at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where they have held multiple roles. Haley started as a Risk & Ethics Specialist in 2019, conducting risk assessments and managing staff engagement and training. In 2022, they became a Risk & Ethics Senior Specialist, supporting the director with contract drafting and policy training initiatives. Haley is currently the Associate Director of Contract Administration, responsible for managing the Partner Intake program, negotiating contracts, and providing guidance and training to program staff.

Haley Schwalm began their education journey at Tri-Valley High School, where they completed their high school education from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management and Insurance at the Fox School of Business at Temple University, graduating in 2018.

During their undergraduate studies, Haley had the opportunity to study International Business at Temple University Rome for a brief period in 2016. After completing their bachelor's degree, they furthered their education by enrolling at New York Law School in 2021. Over the next four years, from 2021 to 2025, they are expected to earn their Doctor of Law - JD degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Haley Schwalm obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification from The Institutes in July 2020.
