Helena Hernandez, MPA, is an accomplished public policy professional with extensive experience in health policy and advocacy. Currently serving as the Director of Public Policy at Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC, Inc. since May 2022, Helena previously held various roles in organizations such as The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Cure SMA, focusing on state advocacy and policy coordination. Helena's earlier experience includes internships and fellowships with the National Organization for Women - NYC, Citizens Union, and New York State Senator Daniel Squadron, as well as development roles in nonprofit organizations. Helena holds a Master’s Degree in Health Policy Analysis from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Michigan.
