Sarika K. has a diverse range of work experience, spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2013, they worked as a Manhattan Organizing Fellow for Reshma for New York's Public Advocate campaign, where they engaged in canvassing, petition collection, and community research. In 2014, Sarika joined the Barnard College Admissions Office as a Barnard Student Admissions Representative, assisting with tours and reception tasks. The following year, they became a Writing Teaching Fellow and Application Mentor at Breakthrough New York, where they co-taught writing to middle school students. In 2015, Sarika also served as a Product and Brand Ambassador for Futurefill, conducting focus groups and marketing campaigns. From 2016 to 2018, Sarika held the position of Program Coordinator for the Young Women's Advisory Council at Girls for Gender Equity, where they facilitated curriculum development, managed meetings, and coordinated various administrative tasks. In 2016, they were briefly a Dean at the Sadie Nash Leadership Project, contributing to youth development and leadership training. Sarika's work experience also includes roles at Resource Generation, the National Institute for Reproductive Health/NIRH Action Fund, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where they held positions related to praxis facilitation, organizing, and digital strategy.

Sarika K. attended Barnard College from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies/Affairs and Environmental Science. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Syosset High School from 2008 to 2012. In 2019, they obtained a certification in Educator Pipeline from The Advocacy Institute.
