Cora R. Jones

Cora R. Jones has a diverse work experience. Cora R. began their career as a Correctional Officer for the State of Tennessee from July 2015 to August 2016. During this time, they were responsible for the supervision and security of inmates, conducting searches, and maintaining order in the prison.

After this, Cora worked as a Correctional Counselor for the State of Tennessee from December 2016 to January 2018. In this role, they assisted program participants within the Memphis Day Reporting Center and provided housing support for probation and parole clients.

From April 2019 to April 2021, Cora worked as a Family Connector at Agape Child & Family Services. Cora R. supported families with education, social capital, health and wellness, and financial empowerment. Cora R. also documented and provided resources for clients in need.

In July 2019, Cora joined Capella University as a Writing Coach and Course Facilitator. Cora R. assisted learners in improving their writing skills and developed writing coach tools based on the university's writing standards.

In 2020, Cora held multiple roles simultaneously. Cora R. worked as a Network Marketing Specialist at PlanNet Marketing, where they focused on building a team and capturing residual income. Cora R. also worked as an Independent Travel Agent at InteleTravel.com, booking travel and exploring the world.

Furthermore, from October 2020 to April 2023, Cora served as a Fulfillment Associate at Amazon. In this role, they worked in the fulfillment center ensuring timely processing of customer orders.

Currently, starting in April 2023, Cora is employed as a Probation Parole Officer for the State of Tennessee.

Cora R. Jones has a diverse education history that spans several years and institutions. Cora R. earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education with a concentration in Voice and Opera from Arkansas Tech University between 1988 and 1993. In 2007, they pursued further education at the University of Phoenix and completed a Master of Science degree in Administration of Justice & Security & Special Education Cross-Categorical in 2010. More recently, in 2022, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Services, Social and Community Services from Capella University.

Before their university studies, Cora R. Jones obtained their High School Diploma from Parkview Fine Arts Magnet High School in 1988, fulfilling requirements in Music and General Education.
