Michael Ehlers

Michael Ehlers serves as the Chief Technology Officer at PlanSource since January 2025, driving the evolution of the firm's technology portfolio through innovative, AI-powered experiences for benefits management. Previously, Ehlers held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Benefitfocus, overseeing the delivery of its SAAS-based benefits administration platforms. Ehlers' experience includes serving as the Director of Software & Reliability Engineering at the National Geographic Society and as the Senior Director of Product & Technology at Paylocity, where responsibilities included launching a Site Reliability Function and leading technical strategy for various products. Earlier in Ehlers' career, a role as Vice President of Front End Development at Xerox focused on the HR Outsourcing business. Ehlers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
