Anita White Avent

Anita White Avent is a seasoned business owner with dual ownership of Juniper Level Botanic Garden and Plant Delights Nursery, both established in 1988 in Raleigh, North Carolina. With extensive experience in nonprofit mentoring, independent writing, and corporate leadership, Anita has held significant roles including Corporate Officer at HIP Marketing, Inc., and Director of Corporate Planning at Cigna. Anita also served as Assistant Deputy Commissioner for the Seniors Health Insurance Information Program in North Carolina and has been involved in academia as a Preceptor and Faculty Associate at the University of North Carolina's School of Public Health. Currently, Anita holds certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner and has leveraged a strong educational foundation, including a Bachelor's degree and an MBA from Meredith College.
