Natalie Hummel has over 20 years of work experience in the field of agriculture and plant science. Natalie is currently the Vice President Operations at Plant Response, a role they started in November 2022. Prior to this, Natalie worked at UPL as the Global Head of New Ag Technologies and NPP Research Platforms from May 2021 to November 2022. Natalie led a global team of scientists and technical staff, focusing on developing solutions for farmers worldwide.
From 2018 to 2020, Natalie held various roles at North Carolina State University, including Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology and Assistant Director of NCARS and Director of University Field Labs and Research Stations. Natalie Hummel earned an Associate's degree in Poultry Science from Modesto Junior College between 1996 and 1999. Natalie then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis, completing their studies from 1999 to 2001. Natalie continued their education at the University of California, Davis, where they obtained a Ph.D in Entomology, which lasted from 2001 to 2005.
