Steve K.

Steve K. has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Steve started their career in 1996 as an Assistant Store Manager at Brooks Brothers, demonstrating their commitment to service. Steve then transitioned to the IT field, working as a Research Director and IT Manager at National Valuation Consultants, where they managed the office network and provided application support. Steve joined Optimum Networking as a Network Engineer, gaining experience in desktop and server support, Microsoft Exchange, and network security. Steve went on to work at AllCovered as a Senior Consultant, specializing in Juniper/NetScreen firewalls, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and network architecture. Steve then became an Independent IT Consultant at TortugaTech, Inc., providing IT support, engineering, management, and consulting services to small business customers. Steve continued this work at Mission Critical Systems, Inc., serving as a Consultant and leading several iManage WorkSite implementations throughout the Western United States. At McElvain Energy, Inc., Steve held the position of Director of Information Services, managing all aspects of technology and information services for the company. Steve joined EKS&H as an Infrastructure Manager, leading a team responsible for infrastructure management and implementation. Currently, Steve works at Plante Moran as a Cloud Infrastructure Lead, serving as a technical lead for infrastructure and select enterprise applications.

Steve K. earned a Bachelor's Degree in American Studies from California State University, Fullerton, completing their studies from 1989 to 1993. Steve then pursued a Master's Degree in Information Technology Management from Regis University between 2005 and 2010. Prior to their university education, Steve obtained a High School Diploma from Villa Park High School in 1989. In addition to their formal education, Steve has obtained several certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in January 2019, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in December 2018, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate from HashiCorp in August 2021, and RPT Training: Terraform Fundamentals- from River Point Technology in July 2021.
