Dr. Praddy Kaushik

Dr. Praddy Kaushik has a diverse work experience in the field of Software Engineering, Business Operations, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and fluvial geomorphology. Dr. Praddy started their career as a Project Scientist at Remote Sensing Applications Center Uttar Pradesh, where they worked on the National Geomorphic Lineament Mapping project sponsored by the Geological Survey of India. Dr. Praddy then pursued their doctoral research at the Institute of Science - Banaras Hindu University, focusing on the analysis of hydrological spatial data and geomorphological mapping. Dr. Kaushik also worked as a Visiting PhD Researcher at the University of Glasgow, where they utilized Arc GIS and ERDAS software to generate visual representations of the evolution of the Chambal basin. Dr. Praddy later joined Smit Groenadvies as a GIS Specialist, before taking on the role of Assistant Professor at Banasthali Vidyapith. In this role, they conducted research on river and catchment physical processes, supervised students, and taught subjects such as remote sensing & GIS, fluvial geomorphology, and environmental science. Dr. Kaushik's most recent role was as a Specialist in Software Engineering and Business Operations at Planys Technologies.

Dr. Praddy Kaushik has a diverse educational background in geological and earth sciences. Dr. Praddy began their academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from Aligarh Muslim University in 2009. Dr. Praddy further pursued their education and earned an M.Sc in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Jiwaji University from 2009 to 2011.

Driven by their passion for geology and earth sciences, Dr. Kaushik pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at the Institute of Science - Banaras Hindu University from 2013 to 2018. During this time, they focused on the field of Geology/Earth Science, General.

In 2016, Dr. Kaushik had the opportunity to expand their knowledge by becoming a visiting researcher at the University of Glasgow, engaging in research related to geological and earth sciences/geosciences.

Additionally, Dr. Kaushik has obtained numerous certifications to complement their academic background.
