Jay Petrie has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Jay started their career as a Summer Financial Analyst at Highland Fairview Properties in 2007. Jay then worked at Southern California Edison, where they held multiple roles, including Risk Analyst, Collateral Analyst, and Senior Trading Analyst. In 2013, they worked as a Mergers & Acquisitions Summer Associate at Houlihan Lokey. Jay then became an Aerospace and Defense Investment Banking Associate at Houlihan Lokey from 2014 to 2017. After that, they served as the Director of Finance at Swell Energy from 2017 to 2018. Jay then joined Harris Williams as an Investment Banking Associate focused on the Technology sector from 2018 to 2021. Jay then moved to Wells Fargo, where they worked as an Associate and later as Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions team. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Business Development at Platinum Equity starting from 2022.
Jay Petrie completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a concentration in Finance, Economics, Strategy, and Accounting at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California between 2004 and 2008. Their education journey started at Whittier Christian High School, where they obtained a High School Diploma in a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program from 2000 to 2004.
