Sebastian Leopold has extensive work experience, primarily in the technology field. Sebastian began their career as an apprentice for iqs Software GmbH, where they trained as a software developer from September 2006 to February 2009. Sebastian then worked as a software developer for the company from February 2009 to August 2015, eventually transitioning to lead the CAQ development team. From September 2015 to March 2022, they served as the team leader for CAQ development. In April 2022, they took on the role of Head of Product Creation, overseeing development, technical writing, and deployment. In May 2023, they were promoted to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at iqs Software GmbH. In the same year, they also took on CTO roles at PLATO GmbH and PeakAvenue GmbH.

Sebastian Leopold attended Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) Karlsruhe from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Angewandte Informatik. In 2014, they also completed a training course called "Ausbildung der Ausbilder (AdA)" at IHK Karlsruhe. Prior to that, they obtained their Abitur from Technische Oberschule Karlsruhe in 2012. In 2009, they completed a qualification course in Quality Management at IHK Karlsruhe.
