Mark Brown

Managing Director at Platte River Equity

Mark Brown has a diverse work experience in the financial and investment industry. Mark started their career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Citigroup in 2001 and worked there until 2003. From 2003 to 2006, they served as an Associate at Code Hennessy & Simmons LLC. In 2007, they interned at Pine Cobble Capital. In 2008, they joined Code Hennessy & Simmons LLC again, this time as a Vice President, where they were a member of a twenty-person investment team managing $2.5 billion of private equity capital. Since 2011, Mark has been working at Platte River Equity as a Managing Director, responsible for managing private equity funds with committed capital exceeding $1.3 billion, focusing on companies with enterprise values ranging from $50 million to $250 million.

Mark Brown earned their BBA degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they attended Harvard Business School from 2006 to 2008, obtaining an MBA degree.
