Andrea Dew Steele

Andrea Dew Steele is a seasoned political and philanthropic advisor currently serving as a Partner at Platypus Advisors since April 2020, following a brief tenure as a Consultant. Previously, Andrea led Emerge America as President from May 2014 to May 2019, providing vision and direction for the organization dedicated to training Democratic women to run for office. Additional leadership roles include serving as President at Human Rights Watch and Emerge America, along with various positions in political committees and campaigns, including Majority Trust Director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Andrea holds a Master's degree in International History and World Politics from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Tufts University.
