Paul Sajda has had an extensive career in the field of engineering and medicine. Paul began their career in 1994 as the Head of Adaptive Image and Signal Processing at SRI International. In 2007, they co-founded Neuromatters LLC and in 2016, they co-founded BRAIQ. In 2019, they took on the roles of Chief Science Officer at Optios and Advisor at OpenBCI. Since 2000, they have been a Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York, and in 2023, they will become President of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society.
Paul Sajda received their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1989. Paul then went on to the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained both a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering in 1994.
