Bruce Wardinski

Bruce Wardinski is the current President & CEO at Playa Hotels & Resorts. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President Operations for Luxury & Premium Brands at Accor from March 2014 to November 2019. In this role, they were in charge of Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Swissotel and MGallery Hotels for Central & Eastern Europe, with a portfolio of over 40 hotels. From 2007 to 2011, they served as the Regional Director of Operations for Chandris Hotels & Resorts, overseeing operations for 5 hotels including the Marriott Metropolitan Athens and "The Met Hotel". Bruce began their career with Chandris Hotels as the General Manager of The Met Hotel, Thessaloniki (Member of Design Hotels). In February 2011, they left Chandris Hotels to become the Senior Vice President Operations Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean for Sofitel Luxury Hotels. In this role, they oversaw a portfolio of over 25 hotels in the Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean regions. Bruce also served as the Managing Director of SO Luxury HMC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prior to their time in Dubai, they were the Hotel Manager for the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills in the United States from 2001 to 2007. From 1999 to 2001, they served as the General Manager/Owners Representative for Ventura Hospitality Inc.

Bruce Wardinski's educational career began with a hotel management degree from Les Roches Crans-Montana Global Hospitality. Bruce then went on to earn a postgraduate degree in International Hotel Management from the University of Surrey. Finally, they studied Foreign Languages and Literatures, General at the European School of Luxembourg.
