Marcela Tobon

Marcela Tobon is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Playa Hotels & Resorts since November 2014. Prior roles include Associate General Counsel at the same organization and positions at prominent law firms such as Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Marcela began their legal career as an Associate at Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados S.A. from February 2005 to March 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from New York University and The London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Universidad de Los Andes.
