Al Powell

Al Powell has a diverse and extensive work experience. Al most recently worked as the Director of Strategic Projects at PlayCore since June 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Operations at Apex Tool Group from February 2015 to June 2017. From January 2014 to January 2015, they were the VP of Product Development and Project Management at Heritage Home Group LLC, where they supervised a team of over 100 employees. Al also held the role of Director of Supply Chain at Heritage Home Group LLC from May 2012 to January 2014. Before that, they worked as a Senior Plant Manager at Heritage Home Group LLC from July 2010 to May 2012.

Powell also worked at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. as an Operations Manager from September 2007 to July 2010. Al'searlier experience includes roles such as Materials Manager, Manufacturing Support Manager, and Plant Manager at Black & Decker from 1994 to 2007.

Throughout their career, Powell has demonstrated expertise in operations management, supply chain, project management, and product development. Al has experience in implementing systems like SAP, driving safety improvements, and utilizing lean techniques to enhance operations. Powell is also certified as a Black Belt at Black & Decker.

Al Powell's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from North Carolina State University from 1989 to 1994. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering from the same university between 2000 and 2002.
