Shay Mahone

Shay Mahone, CPIM has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the supply chain and procurement field.

Starting in 1999, Shay worked at Honeywell, where they began their career as a Sr. Materials Analyst/Buyer for new products. Shay then moved on to become a Procurement Manager and eventually a Focus Factory Manager - New Products, overseeing the launch of commercial avionics cockpit safety equipment.

In 2005, Shay joined Sanford Corporation as a Sourcing Manager before moving on to CookTek Induction Systems in 2006. At CookTek, Shay served as the Plant Manager and was responsible for managing a final assembly and test facility for a manufacturer of induction cooking systems. Shay also focused on lean manufacturing, cycle time reductions, quality improvements, and low-cost sourcing.

In 2011, Shay joined Mueller Water Products as a Purchasing Manager before transitioning to PlayCore in 2012. At PlayCore, Shay initially served as the Director of Sourcing before being promoted to the role of VP of Global Sourcing in 2015.

Throughout their career, Shay has exhibited a strong focus on sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management, with a particular emphasis on lean principles, quality improvements, and cost savings. Shay is a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) professional.

Shay Mahone, CPIM completed their education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they earned an MBA degree in Logistics & Transportation and Operations Management. This was from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, Shay Mahone completed their undergraduate studies at Belmont University between 1992 and 1996, earning a BBA degree in Management.
