Sylvia Ma is a Full-stack Developer at PlayOn! Sports since February 2024, leading a team in developing micro-services using Go and React for a high school sports streaming and ticketing system. As a freelance wedding photographer and videographer through Sylvia Ma Studio, Sylvia has covered over 20 weddings in the past year. Previously, as a Frontend Developer at First Street Foundation, Sylvia maintained and improved the riskfactor.com website using React and NextJS. Sylvia's extensive experience includes software engineering roles at ParkMobile, where multiple backend API microservices were built, and Leidos as a Junior Software Engineer. Earlier career positions included business analyst roles at the United Methodist Publishing House, Ford Motor Company, and Advanced Business Analytics Inc., as well as a logistics engineering position at Chrysler Group LLC. Sylvia holds degrees in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, complemented by a training program in Front & Back End Development at Nashville Software School.
