Alf Inge Wang has a long and varied work experience. In 2020, they became a Co-Founder of BitPet. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Co-Founder of Playpulse. From 2012 to 2015, they were an Inventor, Co-Founder, and Composer of Kahoot!. In 2015, they were a Technical Coordinator and Head of Jury for EduApp4Syria. From 2007 to 2012, they were the Chairman of JoinGame, an initiative to strengthen and promote Norwegian game development and game research. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Visiting Professor at UC Irvine. From 2008 to 2013, they were a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Irvine. From 1999 to 2008, they were a Visiting Researcher at The University of Manchester. From 1996 to 1999, they were a Researcher at SINTEF/NTH, working on the EU-project Renaissance, the EPOS-project, and more. From 2001 to the present, they have been a Professor in Game Technology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Alf Inge has also been the Chairman of NTNU's research program on video games.
Alf Inge Wang attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1994 to 1996, where they earned a Siv.ing in Software Engineering. Alf Inge then attended Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) from 1991 to 1994, where they earned an Engineer in Microelectronics. Finally, they returned to NTNU from 1997 to 2001 to earn their PhD in Software Engineering.
