Saga Arola

Saga Arola has a diverse work experience in various fields. Saga worked at Playvation Ltd as the Head of Pedagogy, where they were responsible for pedagogical research and development for Moomin Language School, a digital language learning service. Saga also worked as a Content Editor and provided sales support for the company. Saga was an EFL teacher and Translator/Proofreader at the same company.

Saga worked as a Teacher for Nursery Rhyme Time at FINNBRIT, a weekend playgroup for English-speaking families.

Saga was a member of the Advisory Board at HundrEDorg, a company focused on researching and sharing innovations in education. Saga participated in the review process for the HundrED Spotlight on Social Emotional Learning.

Saga worked as a Voice Actor,Translator/Proofreader, and Course Content Provider on a project-based basis at Promentor.

Saga has experience working as a Freelance Translator and as a Violinist and backing vocalist.

Saga later became an International Tutor for incoming visiting and Erasmus students, assisting with course registration, integration into the student community, and providing general support.

Saga Arola obtained a Ylioppilas degree with a focus on the English language from Kouvolan Yhteiskoulun Lukio in 2010. Following that, from 2010 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Philology at the University of Helsinki. This was followed by a Certificate in Irish Studies from University College Cork from 2012 to 2013. Saga then continued their education at the University of Helsinki, completing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Philology from 2014 to 2017.
