Phasha Spencer

Phasha Spencer currently serves as the Executive Director at Playworks Illinois, starting in April 2024. Prior to this role, Spencer held various leadership positions at EdReports from December 2021 to April 2024, including Lead of Business Development and Senior Specialist in Partnerships. In 2023, Spencer engaged as a Fellow at Black Bench Chicago, where the focus was on leadership development and social justice in the Chicago Black community, as well as a Fellow in the Multicultural Leadership Academy at the Latino Policy Forum, promoting collaboration between African American and Latino leaders. Previous experience includes roles such as Director of Partner Support at Fulcrum Education Solutions, Director of Training, Development & Support at OneGoal, and Manager of Recruiting for the Chicago Teacher Residency Program at AUSL. Spencer’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Journalism from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Norfolk State University.
