Sue Ascanio

Sue Ascanio is an accomplished hotel and casino executive with extensive experience in management. Currently serving as General Manager at Plaza Hotel and Casino since December 2022, Sue previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer and General Manager at River Rock Entertainment Authority from December 2020 to December 2022. Prior roles include Vice President & General Manager at Pinnacle Entertainment from January 2011 to October 2018, and Vice President & Assistant General Manager at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg under Penn National Gaming from February 2009 to January 2011. Sue's career began at Station Casinos, where a tenure from September 1996 to July 2008 included roles as Vice President & General Manager of Sunset Station and Texas Station, as well as Director of Food & Beverage and Hotel Operations. Sue also served as Director of Food & Beverage at Harrah's Entertainment from June 1987 to May 1996. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, completed between 1984 and 1987.
