Gerben de Rijk

Gerben de Rijk has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Gerben is currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer at Pleco Therapeutics BV since August 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Orly Pharma BV/GmbH/Ltd from December 2017 to December 2019, holding the position of Manager Legal & Regulatory Affairs, Responsible Person. From 2008 to 2016, Gerben was the Director/Founder of QPS france Immobilier, an independent estate agency in France. Gerben also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Park Medisch Centrum Rotterdam from January 2009 to July 2011. Gerben has prior experience at Fortis Bank, where they held multiple managerial positions in product management, project management, and daily banking. Gerben began their career as an in-company lawyer at AMEV Legal Department in November 1989, focusing on civil and fiscal law.

Gerben de Rijk's education history includes multiple degrees and areas of study. In 1980, they attended the Conservatory of Arnhem for pre-school, focusing on violin. In 1982, they continued their violin studies at the Conservatory of Utrecht. During the same year, they also enrolled at Utrecht University, where they pursued a Master of Law degree in the field of Business and Socio-Economic Law. From 1982 to 1988, Gerben pursued their studies in law while also focusing on violin at the Utrecht Conservatory. In 1986, they began studying at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and earned a Master of Law degree in Fiscaal Recht, specializing in tax law. Finally, in 2019, they attended Governance University to further their knowledge in Corporate Secretary.
