Jennifer is responsible for community engagement and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies across Plenary's North American projects and assets.
Prior to joining Plenary Americas, Jennifer held key roles in the public, non-profit, and private sectors where she has over 15 years of experience developing, expanding, and executing new initiatives designed to build community and foster economic inclusion.
Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning with an emphasis in community planning and a Bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies. She also held fellowships with the Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) and UCLA Anderson School of Business Riordan programs.
She is a board member of both the Women Business Enterprise Council – West (WBEC-West), a regional certifying agency of women-owned businesses, and the Watts Skills Academy. She also volunteers annually with the Tournament of Roses Association which hosts the Rose Parade and Bowl game.
She has presented to the American Planning Association (APA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and Women Transportation Seminar (WTS) on a number of topics related to community planning, inclusivity in infrastructure, and economic development. Her work has been acknowledged by Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) with the 2012 Community Policing Award, the Los Angeles County Quality & Productivity Commission with the 2014 Los Angeles County Image Enhancement Award, WTS San Diego with the 2017 Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award, Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council (SCMSDC) Community Visionary(2019) and Corporate Trendsetter (2017) awards, and the Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce with the Mujer del Año - Diversidad (Woman of the Year – Diversity) Award.
