Simon Cordell has over 20 years of experience in risk management and credit policy. Simon served as the Chief Risk Officer at Plenti, where they provided fast, fair, and flexible loans to borrowers. Before that, Simon worked at American Express in various roles, including Head Small Business Risk Management ANZ and Head Consumer Risk ANZ. In these positions, they managed credit policy, underwriting, customer management, and collections strategy for multi-billion dollar portfolios. Simon also played a key role in the acquisition of a retail portfolio and successfully implemented enhanced ID controls to manage fraud. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Risk Manager and Business Analyst, focusing on underwriting policies and operational efficiencies across different departments.
