Rie Paving Mortensen has worked with some of the largest and most complex cases in competition law and compensation law, both by Danish and international standards.
Rie heads our financial analysis unit, consisting of highly specialized economists.
Rie's competition law experience includes, among other things, complex mergers, including in particular Phase 2 cases, international cartels and complex cases of abuse of dominant position.
In relation to both cartel-related and non-cartel-related damages cases, Rie has extensive experience in, among other things, the determination of the central counterfactual scenario, the handling of conciliation processes and the organization and implementation of economic views and estimates.
In addition, Ries' competences include various types of economic analyzes and studies of significance for areas such as taxation, intellectual property law and M&A.
Rie is an educated MSc. and has a further degree from the University of Copenhagen in the field of competition law and a Post Graduate Diploma in EU competition law from King's College London. Rie began her career with the Danish Competition Authority and before joining Plesner in 2010, was employed as an economist at Ørsted, where she had a special focus on competition law financial analyzes.
