Pablo Arboleya Arboleya has worked in a variety of roles since 2001. Pablo began their career as a Full Professor (Catedrático de Universidad) and Associate Professor at the Electrical Engineering Dept. (University of Oviedo). Pablo then became the Holder of the Gijón Milla del Conocimiento Smart Cities Chair at the University of Oviedo, as well as the Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems (www.emjmdsteps.eu/inicio). Pablo is also the Co-founder of LEMUR Research Group and the Coordinator of the International Master Program "Electrical Energy Conversion and Power Systems" (https://mastereecps.uniovi.es/). In 2020, they became the Co-founder of both Plexigrid and PXR. In 2018, they became the Vice-chair of the IEEE VTS Ad'hoc Committee on Electric Railways and the General Chair of the IEEE VTS - Vehicular Power and Propulsion Conference (https://events.vtsociety.org/vppc2020/). In 2020, they became the Convenor of the Working Group C6.41, Technologies for Electrical Railway Distribution Supply Systems (https://www.cigre.org/article/GB/cigre-active-working-groups--call-for-experts). Since 2015, they have been an Associate Editor and Managing Editor of the "International Journal of Electrical and Power Energy Systems" (https://www.journals.elsevier.com).

Pablo Arboleya Arboleya completed a MsC. in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Oviedo in 2001, with a focus on Power Systems and Electrical Machines. Pablo then went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same university in 2005.
