Scientist II at Plexium

Mengxi Liu, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the scientific field. From 2013 to 2018, Mengxi worked as a Graduate Researcher at Fudan University, where they focused on studying cellular metabolism in liver cancer and gained expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques. Following this, from 2018 to 2022, Mengxi worked at Cullgen Inc. as a Scientist, where they explored PROTAC to target disease-causing proteins for degradation. At NYU Langone Health, from 2018 to 2022, Mengxi served as a Postdoctoral Fellow, investigating post-translational modifications in the cell cycle and E3 ligase-mediated protein degradation in Parkinson's disease. Lastly, Mengxi joined Ferring Pharmaceuticals in 2022 as a Scientist, supporting early pipeline projects and developing cell-based functional assays for target validation. Currently, Mengxi is employed as a Scientist II at Plexium.

Mengxi Liu, PhD, completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Fudan University, spanning from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, Mengxi obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Lanzhou University, which was completed from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Mengxi Liu has also obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2022, they earned certifications in Excel for Business Level I - Fundamentals and Project Management Level II from Noble Desktop. Mengxi also completed courses in Drug Commercialization and Drug Development Product Management Specialization from Coursera, as well as Effective Business Writing and Microsoft PowerPoint Level II from Noble Desktop. Earlier in 2022, Mengxi completed courses in Drug Development and Drug Discovery through Coursera.
