Sherry Tung

Sherry Tung has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Sherry is currently working as a Product Manager at Plexure since July 2022.

Prior to this, Sherry worked at SPM Assets from October 2020 to June 2022 as a Product Owner. In this role, they consolidated diverse business expectations, worked closely with the development team, and assisted in building infrastructure towards being a SaaS provider.

Before SPM Assets, Sherry worked at Orion Health, where they held two roles. From August 2018 to March 2020, they served as a Product Owner, overseeing a solution utilizing main products and managing development and solutioning teams. Prior to this, from January 2012 to August 2018, they worked as a Senior Business Analyst, contributing to the delivery of the company's first product in the Business Intelligence area.

Sherry also held roles as a Senior Business Analyst at Vero Insurance New Zealand from June 2011 to January 2012, and at BNZ from March 2010 to June 2011. At Vero Insurance New Zealand, they focused on improving middleware and played the Scrum Master role. At BNZ, they led a project to deliver a centralized electronic customer document management system.

Earlier in their career, Sherry worked as a Senior Business Analyst at Statistics New Zealand from November 2006 to March 2010. Sherry also worked as a Business Analyst at Medtech Global for a brief period in 2006, where they contributed to a new product initiative.

Before transitioning into the IT field, Sherry worked in other roles such as Data Analyst/Program Administrator at Sovereign from August 2004 to May 2006, and as a Project Administrator at Watercare Services Limited in 2003.

In addition to their work experience, Sherry also worked as a Lecturer at AUT University in 2003, teaching various IT modules and engaging in business analyst activities.

Sherry Tung has a diverse education history. In 1995, they attended Auckland University of Technology, where they pursued a degree in IT and obtained a NDBC. Sherry continued their education at the same institution and earned a Graduate Diploma in IT in 2004. Prior to their university education, Sherry obtained a Sixth Form Certificate from Selwyn College in 1995. Additionally, Sherry has acquired certifications in the field of Agile methodology, including the ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Product Ownership (ICP-APO) from ICAgile, obtained in May 2022, and the ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF). The specific timing of their ICP-ATF certification is not provided.
