Principal Scientist I at Pliant Therapeutics

Claudio F. Perez has extensive experience in the field of muscle biology and pathophysiology. Claudio F. worked as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School for over 12 years, during which they published 30 peer-reviewed publications and obtained funding for their research activities. Claudio F. also co-developed a new knockout-mouse model for studying protein interactions in calcium signaling of skeletal and cardiac muscles. Prior to their position at Harvard, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where they conducted research on muscle biology, calcium channels, and calcium homeostasis. Currently, they hold the role of Principal Scientist I at Pliant Therapeutics.

Claudio F. Perez holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Chile, which they completed in 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from the P. Catholic University of Chile in 1990.
