Julia Goellnitz M. A. is an accomplished audiovisual translator and language expert with extensive experience in various roles within the industry. Currently serving as an Audio-Describer and QCer at Descriptive Video Works, a Keywords Studios Company, since January 2024, Julia has also been the Director of FlashLight Translations Ltd. and the owner/founder since November 2009. Julia’s expertise includes subtitling, translating, and quality control for numerous high-profile projects, ensuring client confidentiality throughout. With a strong background as a subtitler and translator for major companies such as Plint, VSI / Voice & Script International, and Broadcast Text International, Julia has developed skills in managing tight deadlines and high-quality standards. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Audiovisual Translation from the University of Surrey and a state certification in translation and interpreting from Würzburger Dolmetscherschule WDS.
