Dr Sayani Das

Dr. Sayani Das is a seasoned academic and research professional with extensive experience in anthropology. Currently serving as a Research Officer at IIHMR, Delhi since December 2022 and as an Academic Editor for the Public Library of Science (PLOS) since May 2023, Dr. Das previously worked as a Consultant at the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India from December 2020 to December 2022. Dr. Das holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Anthropology from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, completed in June 2023, and has an M.Phil. in Physical and Biological Anthropology from the University of Delhi, as well as an MSc in the same field from Miranda House College. Dr. Das began academic training with a BSc in Anthropology from Sarojini Naidu College For Women.
