Kevin Brandt

Kevin Brandt is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience at the Public Library of Science since May 2012, where contributions include refactoring the Article Admin app from Flask to Django and creating a Python package for internal CLI use. Earlier roles involved developing a Flask app for an internal API, managing a Python-based Hipchat bot, and performing various web development tasks. Prior to PLOS, Kevin served as a Senior Shipping Clerk/Biometrics Intern at Optimer Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included data verification for Phase 3 studies using SAS procedures. Kevin's earlier career involved production management at Caffe Calabria and department management at Bring's Cycling & Fitness. Educational qualifications include a Biostatistics certificate from UC San Diego and an Associate degree in Computer Graphics/Visual Communications from Milwaukee Area Technical College.
