Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. Andrew began their career as a Researcher at Range Pro in 2002. In 2006, they became a Tutor at The University of Queensland, teaching undergraduate subjects and leading students in grades 5-7 in LEGO Mindstorms. In 2007, they moved to Ausonex as a Software Consultant. In 2012, they became a Biomedical Research Assistant at The University of Queensland. In 2015, they joined Roames as a Senior Algorithmic Developer, responsible for developing stochastic signals processing algorithms for geographical information systems applications. In 2018, they took on two roles, Senior Data Scientist and Acting Principal Data Scientist at Origin Energy, and a Data Scientist at Hatch. Most recently, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Plotlogic since 2022.

Andrew Smith obtained a Ph.D. in Signals and Image Processing from The University of Queensland between 2005 and 2009. Andrew also obtained a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor in Business Management (Economics) from The University of Queensland between 1997 and 2002.
