Matthew Townsend

Matthew Townsend has a diverse work experience. Matthew began their career at New Melle Sports and Recreation Association as an Umpire in Charge from May 2012 to August 2013. Matthew then worked as a Hockey Coach for the City of Springfield, Missouri from October 2012 to October 2015. In 2014, they took on a Sales Representative role at Hidow USA, a national distributor of TENS unit products. Matthew worked there from April 2014 to September 2014. From March 2015 to September 2015, Matthew interned at Delaware North as a Sports Service Intern. Matthew then joined LIDS Sports Group as an Assistant Manager from August 2013 to January 2016. Currently, they are working at PLS Logistics Services. Matthew started as an Account Executive in January 2016, where they developed an intricate knowledge of logistics and supply chain distribution. Matthew then became a Senior Account Executive in March 2017, and they are currently in the role of Associate Director of Business Development, starting from an unspecified month in 2023. In their role at PLS Logistics Services, Matthew is responsible for prospecting, developing, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities for spot market transactional business. Matthew also analyzes the most effective options to maximize efficiency and eliminate overhead within the logistics business for current and prospective customers.

Matthew Townsend attended Francis Howell High from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained their high school diploma. Matthew then pursued their education at St. Charles Community College from 2010 to 2012, earning an Associate's Degree in Business/Commerce, General. Following this, Matthew enrolled in Missouri State University from 2013 to 2015 to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Entertainment Management.
