Gusti Kahari has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Most recently, they served as the Head of Public Policy and Stakeholder Engagement at Pluang, where they were responsible for developing and executing regulatory strategies and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders. Prior to this, Gusti worked as the Director of Government Relations at AmCham Indonesia, overseeing advocacy strategies and managing the policy team. They also worked at the U.S. Department of State as an Economic Specialist, where they monitored macroeconomic trends and facilitated American companies' participation in Indonesia's infrastructure development. Additionally, Gusti has experience as a Foreign Exchange Dealer at PT.Bank Artha Graha Internasional Tbk, an English Teacher at I Can Read, a Home Loan Representative at Kiwibank, and a Retail Manager at The Salvation Army.

Gusti Kahari has a diverse educational background. In 2002, they attended Massey University, where they obtained a New Zealand Diploma in Business with a focus on Business. Gusti then enrolled at Victoria University of Wellington in 2004 and completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree with a specialization in Marketing and Management in 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Gusti Kahari has also obtained several certifications. In 2006, they earned a Certificate of Direct Marketing Principles from New Zealand Post. In 2011, they obtained a certification as a Wakil Agen Penjual Reksa Dana (Mutual Fund Sales Agent) from the Asosiasi Pengelola Reksa Dana Indonesia (Indonesia Mutual Fund Managers Association). Most recently, in 2013, they obtained a Treasury Dealer Certification from the Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Perbankan (Institute of Banking Profession Certification).
